Default aold air intake question

my cold air sucks in water when its wet outside, and so i cant drive faster than 70 when this happens. my single overhead never did this tho, even when it was really wet outside. does anyone else have this problem? will a bypass fix this prob, not sure if it will since i heard bypass only works if the filter is completly under water.

You have two options. Either boy a cold air intake that has a bypass valve on it so water does not get sucked up into it, or you could buy a cold air intake that has two pieces so that you can convert it to a short ram when it rains or something. I have a CP cold air intake. Its a 2.5" diameter intake and I don't really have rain problems. Do you still have the stock bumper and the ruber wheel well guard on?

make it a short ram. those bypass valves are useless.

this is what im doing now. i have a 2 piece and i just make it a short ram when it rains, but its just annoying to do so. yeah i was jus curious why this cold air sucks in water, my aem cold air never did so i was jus wondering. anyway thanks for the opinions peeps
