I might be buying a 95 civic hatch, model unknown at this time but it has typical mods from what I hear.

The guy is going to email a more detail list of what model and extra's. My g/f told me about it and we all know 99% of girls are clueless about cars.

Anyways. I've already planned on bringing a magnet w/ me to check for bondo, but what else should I be on the lookout for?

Get the VIN number, run a carfax.

 

oh yah, er, that too... bump!

 

 

look for quarterpanel rust (honda cancer)....make sure the parts are OEM honda (especially on the frontend i.e. fenders,bumper,hood). that's all i can think of besides carfax for the moment.

 

Make sure the motor goes with the car (matches). i heard of some kid who bought a 99 Si expecting to be getting a B16, turns out some one sold him a HX with Si wheels, stickers, and interior.
