d16y8 i.m. with d15b7 fuel rail
i bought a d16y8 intake manifold with no fuel rail so i figured i would just use my d15b7 fuel rail. few problems and questions.. the b7 only has 3 short mounting posts (red circles) while the y8 has 2 long posts. i thought i would just 2 drill holes in the b7 rail and mount it right up. where can i find the longer posts that are found on the y8? (i borrowed the picture
) how do i make my b7 injectors fit in the y8 manifold correctly(if possible) thanks for any input in advance

The injectors fit right in, however in order for them to be correctly aligned you will need to only drill one hole as the other mounting post should sit in the little cut-out area. I then just used two large washers and a nut to secure the one post to the cut-out section and then a couple of small washers and a nut to secure the one that was drilled. It's really simple and it's extremely secure.
i don't have those longer posts off the y8 intake mani though. do u think i can get them at the dealer or something? the injectors on the b7 have a thicker rubber washer causing them to sit higher in the y8 i.m.? this isn't a problem?
be very careful when doing this as if its not done correctly your fuel rail might come out while driving and can start a fire. I would suggest just buy the right fuel rail for the manifold
