Default Engine Swap Help

I'm putting in a D16Y7 into my 91 crx hf.

If anyone would be kind enough to identify some items, and where the other end should attach to, I might be able to get this thing running. Here are some labeled pics of the items I am trying to identify

Thanks
TK

I'll give this a shot. (BTW, take notes and label your plugs, hoses and connectors next time when you remove an engine. It will help you from being in this kind of situation.)

A-charcoal canister
B-MAP sensor
C-EVAP purge control? Yours looks broken though.
D-Brake booster
E-coolant line that runs to the IACV on the back of your intake manifold
F-PCV
G,H-Heater hoses
I-Fan thermoswitch, I believe
J-Heater hose?
K-Oil pressure sensor
L-Coolant temp sensor

You should be able to find all the right connections, especially the hoses, once you have the motor in the engine bay.

Well I got the engine from another car, and nothing was labeled. And the new engine and manifold are a little different then my car, so I just wasn't sure. I've also got 4 vacuum lines from behind a little black box on my crx, and I'm not sure where they are going to go to.

I'm still not sure about the EVAP purge control. I don't have one that I can find on the original intake manifold. I can't find a mention of it in my haynes manual either. What should I do with it?

So engine coolant runs through this line? I'm still not sure where this should plug into, the intake manifold section in my haynes manual seems to be lacking quite a bit. The two piece design they show doesn't even resemble the original intake manifold I just took out. And it is the right book. Could anyone clarify where this should go. Or maybe direct me to some good online diagrams or pictures?

And the original engine had another electical connection right next to the oil pressure sensor. Just a two wire connector in a boot. Any ideas what that is, and what I should connect the harness to for that?

Thanks again for all the help.

Since you don't have an EVAP purge control, just plug that port with a vacuum cap. As for that small coolant line off the back, you need to run a hose from that spot to the IACV which is located on the back of the intake manifold. You want to plug it into the left side port. You should really consider a factory manual. You can get one here: http://www.helminc.com Way better than a Haynes or Chilton manual.

Forgive me for repeating G as Y. I wasn't paying attention.

Is what I have labeled as W the IACV that connects to E above?

X and Y get connected together right?

Where does Z go? Please help.

Thanks

I think E is actually for an oil heater that sandwiches in between the filter and block. I think Z is the one that goes to the IAC.

BTW - you are missing the plastic plug that goes on the hose for F.

I did the same for the Y8. Similar motor - might help you find some of the connections.

So W is the IAC? And what I have labeled as Z goes to it?

My old engine had a little pipe between the oil and filter, new engine does not!?

You probably can't see it, but the plug on F I think you are talking about is attached to the hose in the last picture.

I'll look through those links thanks.

I need about three manuals. actually my haynes isn't that bad. It's actually quite detailed about most things. But then I have a d16y7 from a 97 civic, and a manifold that was from a d15b7don't know what model. I've got pretty much everything connected like it shows in that diagram, however I'm still left with Z above and nothing to run it too. It doesn't appear to be on the manifold in your diagram either.
