Depends. Depends on what car it is going in. If it is a Type R than the stock motor but if its anything else than I say GSR Turbo. If your answer is the latter this is the wrong forum anyway.

The ARR motor is probably the better n/a setup, but if the choice is stock R or turbo GS-R, then get the turbo. I used to have a 96 gsr, and now having the ITR, the R is a much more fun car to drive and is surprisingly quick for a 1.8l 4cyl. The car I had before the R was a 93 300zx tt. It was pretty awesome in a straight line, or sideways , but as far as a daily driver, the R is awesome! Good Luck!

This isn't a good question...the Type R isn't a drag car, it's a track car...with that said, if you are into tracking, definitely get the Type R. If you want to go fast, the Type R isn't for you anyways because that was not it's intended purpose...it's intended purpose was to take the curves...

the c5 is a great motor stock but if you looking for speed i would boost the c1. IMO you would be happier with a boosted c1 over the N/A c5!

do you get same response when you step on gas at 4K rpm vs 7K rpm?

so can you say.. your car lags response at low rpm?

i may have to wait for millisecond for my **** to spool to 10psi while at low rpm, but i still make power at 3-4psi, and i'm at 3-4psi as soon as i step on throttle matching whatever you make n/a at lower rpm

even with turbo lag, its not a big deal . by the time it does spool can you say . . . buh bye. trust me even if the NA car got the jump the Turbo car would make up real quick.

Even if you are going to road race. A proper turbo setup will kickass. As long as you get a turbo with the kind of powerband you want it will work. An 18G torque curve is so linear it looks like an N/A powerband with alot more power and spools almost instantly.

its all about the way its set up and tuned. not everyone has needs for a t3/t4, or straight t3, or an 18g. depends on what you want the car to do . people dont understand that most of the time when they get into turbo
