Stripped bolts on rotors. How do i overcome?
The two little screws holding the rotors on the car are stripped terribly... whomever replaced them last time apparently did not use right size phillips head...
I'm pretty damn poor right now, so whats the cheapest way to remove the rotors from the car???
When me and my buddy did the rotors on his girls car we ran into a similar problem, so we just kinda bashed them right off the car... they broke around the lug bolts and they just came right off... will that work with mine??? i believe the ones on the talon were iron, are ours the same??? if i can break them off i can just use vise grips to twist off the screws after the rotors are off...
I know an easy out will work, and i do have new screws from honda to replace the stripped ones, but like i said im broke and have no drill... how much does an easy out cost???
let me know...

I put a screw driver in it and hit it with a hammer a couple so it is in there snug and then turn. Or you can hit the screw driver and turn at the same time it'll kinda shake and make it easier to move.
^^^ I did the same thing that vtecn8ive did. I took a screwdriver and a hammer and then I tapped it lightly with a hammer to make the screwdriver seat into the screw. Only thing that i did different was, I used a power drill (screw driver) to take it out faster.

I've used them and they actually work pretty good. You could also weld a nut on the bolt and untightend that way done that before also.

heat the bolts and then notice that you have space for 2 screws to put on your rotor. THose bolts won't go far as you can see the spindle. Just force them in a bit, not too much 'cose you'll crack the rotor.
Back those off and it should come off with sears bits. I get my drums off in the rear just with those 2 bolts.
Hope it makes sense.
