okay finally after a week in half i finally got it in and got to take it for a drive. i was really wierd lst gear felt like i was taking off in 3rd and was long as hell. 2nd was just as long. 3rd gear felt like i dropped a gear and was not a long and more responsive. so 3rd,4th,5th and reverse all felt normal except 1st and 2nd. What the hell is going on?

the car is a 1994 Gsr if matter and i forgot the shifter is extra loose.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

 

Is it a JDM tranny? You might be going into 5th thinking its 1st.. You know with RHD and everything.. J/K!

On a serious note if the shift linkage is loose you might be in the wrong gear.. I dont know what the chances of you getting it into 3rd or 5th instead of 1st are but it might be possible..

1st gear on a B16 tranny is extra short.. No reason for it not to be unless you have an LS transmission..

 

really all the other gears fell fine but something is up with 1st and 2nd .

look at the bar code to c wut tranny u actually got here the link. Try to compare the ratios between them

there is no way it could be any tranny the 1st and second are way too long was going 40mph in 1st at 3500rpm it is really really wierd i couldn't hit vtec if i tried in 1st or 2nd

Check shift linkage. Your 1st could be going into third, and your 2nd into 4th.

yeah that was my first thought so i tried taking off in 3rd sad to say it wasn't it

 

who is the girl on your icon? lol maybe someone put some other gears into it? like LS gears? ugly where u buy it from

 

tuff luck. it does sound like u might have some LS gears but wow 40 in first at 3500rpm thats like a mustangs gear ratio... now that would suck... j/k

 

I'm going to put my money on wrong gear sets, prob a rebuild from someone who didn't know what the **** was going on... Might even be a mis-match of gears from different tranny.s

 

yeah that is what iam hoping because i am exchangeing it for another b16 tranny i hope it works .
