Default Will a d16z6 dizzy work on a y7 into a 94? Help asap.

Me and my buddy are putting in a y7 into is 94 ex. Will the z6 dizzy work on the y7 if we find some way to mount it up. Or can we take the internals out of the z6 dizzy and put them in the y7 dizzy? Thanks

Dustin

Yes, and it should mount up just fine.

You could also do this, but I suggest the first method.

I know the bolt pattern doesnt match right putting a Z6 dizzy on the Y8 cuz me and kkdarian on ht tried putting the Z6 one on the Y8 head that he had put on and it didnt bolt on right, so the only thing i could say is trial and error.

but if it doesn't bolt on right I should be able to take the internals out and switch them.

Really I was just wanting to make sure that I didn't need a d15 non vtec dizzy, someone told me that the z6 vtec dizzy will not work on a non vtec motor.
Thanks
Dustin

The Z6 dizzy wont fit unless you bore the holes out. I recommend using a B7 dizzy, because i'm not about ghetto rigging a distributor to work on a car.

A B7 dizzy will bolt up perfectly fine to a Y7.

As far as I know...yes.

I'm not 100% sure because I haven't done it myself, but i've read about people doing it.
