The HX CVT is probably the best one.

Not the same, you can check out the different gear ratios in my sig. under Mista Bone's tranny page. A very good resource. You will find there is even a slight difference between Si and EX as well.

I had a 98 HX and after a while I swapped in an EX tranny. Shift points are different and the HX had better gas mileage of the two. HX is the best for gas mileage with the way the gearing is set-up as far as I know.

CX/VX are the best trannies you'll want to get if you want fuel economy. DX/LX are also good for economy. EX/Si are mainly for acceleration.

*rolls eyes* Yeah thats practical, strip out his daily driver for more MPG. CX tranny=longer gears=better mpg. Especially on the highway. Keeps the car at lower RPMs. Come on trooper I'm a newbie and I already know this ****.

I have recently aquired a 93 CX ---- Fun to drive as completely stock . The only mod so far is the " hey you left your lights on - stupid " buzzer.

I get 47 MPG average . 40 MPG with the AC running. 5th gear is NOT for climbing hills though , strickly economy ---- can pass others 70 in 3rd ( whooya)
good choice. All the fun and 14 bucks to go 360 miles
