Default change

how long have you had your current set up?

i change mine regularly for a few reasons: i work all day in my jeep so i get tired really easily, i love to try new subs and speakers, used stuff is available for crack head prices sometimes and i can't help but buy it

my bass amp might stay as well as mu crossover and maybe my punch 500a2, but subs and speakers chage regularly, i get bored really easily

and i know what you will say if my install was good enough i'd not have the need to change but thats not true, its MAD F**KING FUN BUYING NEW SUBS AND/OR SPEAKERS AND/OR AMPS AND INSTALLING THEM!

its a hobby

IF you do your homework and pick/purchase/install the peices correctly - there is no need to change every couple of years. Unless you have ootles of $$$

my favorite sq set up was 2 idq tens in a sealed box

i was pretty pleased with a w6 i had but it was dvc 6ohm so...

im looking at a 12 w3 to give 750 rms next

for my home system in the past year i've gone from from B&W VM1's, to B&W CM 6's, to B&W CDM 9NT's, to B&W nautilus 803's to martin logan ascents. i've had the matching center channel up until the nautilus line at which point i went just stereo instead of surround. i've gone through 3 processors and 2 amps, as well as 3 dvd players too.

in the end all of my changes were reasonably big upgrades and i did it like that because i dont really have 25K to spend on a stereo at once. its easier to do it piece by piece.

my car has been the same for over a year now though.
