i just got a hold of a wrecked '02 rsx type s six speed. the car got hit pretty hard be we started the motor and it ran fine and it shifted through all the gears. the car was owned by a female and has 33,000 miles and paperwork for all schedualed oil changes, ect. is there anything in paticular that i have to worry about with buying a wrecked car? i also need to know where i can get ahold of custom axles, header, wiring harness ect. all i saw on hasport's website was a motor mount kit.

the shock tower hit all the pulleys and bent a couple but the engine still started w/ the key

i'm not paying anything for it. i'm sponsored by a local shop so he will keep my '00 b16a2 and all i pay is swap parts and keep referring people to him. if your that interested, later i could find out what he paid.

 

What car will the motor be going into.

 

The motor seems to be in pretty good condition.

ya the motor looks good, and i would check to make sure they didn't cut up the harness or shift linkage or anything else that u can use and it fucked up

the k20a2 is going into a 1998 civic ex that at the moment, has a '00 b16a2 in it.

I CAN'T START ON THIS SWAP TILL I GET THE PARTS PLEASE HELP!

 

You could probably try doing some research for yourself by searching.

 

i did search this site and all i really found was a link to hasport's web site but all they have there is the motor mount kit. i still need axles, wiring harness, header, and prolly a bunch of other things

 

no one knows where to get k20 swap parts?

 

hasport can give you what you need to do the swap. send them your harness and they can modify it and tell thim what axles you need. they may need your old ones as a core

 

just curious about the long version of ur story..

how exactly did u come across this, and how did u actually get it? or have the shop offer to trade u?
