I've heard that you need to remove the bracing underneath the hood for clearance. Is this always something that has to be done? I won't have the cash to get a ZC hood, or what i really want... an SiR front end. I really don't want to hack the hood either. Any thoughts?

 

you shouldnt need to cut your hood for a b16, It should clear fine, have you put the motor in a checked it?

 

mine fit fine with no mods on my 91 hatch and B16 w. the HCP mount kit

 

i havent got the motor yet, but i talked to the guys at jdmsh!t.com and he said the HCP kit doesn't cause any clearance problems.
