Are the yellow hid look head lights illegal at all? Just curious, I like the look of them and they are different from the typical stock/ superwhite look. Ok, well Im sure they are illegal, but have any of you guys been pulled over with these bulbs...

 

my cousin used to have them on his eg ... yeah, he got tickets for them

 

in Chicago they are illegal

 

They look awesome with amber corners but I got a ticket for em in AZ; took em out.

 

Depends on where you are located, anything that isnt DOT approved is illegal. Its more just a question of do cops enforce it strictly? Here you might get a ticket for it if you get pulled over for something more serious but you never get pulled over for just that, check with other people who have similar lights in your area and see what they have to say about how the cops are.

 

WTF?!?! Yellow is illegal now? Why the hell would that be illegal dont some cars come stock with the yellow lights?

yellow is not illegal if you have them as fog lights. Some cars i.e. Lexus.. Come with stock yellow fog lights. But as far as headlight bulbs they are illegal. Just think Cops get upset about hyper white bulbs. Now people want to put bright *** yellow ones in?!?!?! That just screams "Pull Me Over, Give me a hard time, waste 3o minutes of my time and give me a ticket." This is why i got rid of my HIDS and My Hyper White bulbs, and got some sylverstars.

I agree. Plus you have to factor in the fact that racer's get picked on. I remember one night I was in my friends integra. We got pulled over because he had clear tailights and his turn signals were rigged to blink faster than normal. What was messed up was that this mustang next to us had burnt out brake lights and we were the ones getting pulled over.

LOL Speeding up the blinker thing screams pull me over because when one blinker burns out on most cars, like say your left front blinker burns out the left rear blinker will blink faster to let cops know that the front one isnt working because they cant see the front one if they are behind you, give it a try, pull a bulb and watch lol

DA integras have yellow headlights, but they also have white beams, i think thats why...i think the legends do too...correct me if im wrong

I agree with this. A friend of mine was visiting in Oklahoma for a day, where he was fined and ticketed for this, but was never given a ticket during the 24/7 driving he would always do in Texas.

 

Integra's don't have yellow headlights unless you're referring to their headlight mount foglights.

I would assume that ppl would lighten up over yellow lights as they are more visable. They should outlaw SUV's before they outlaw stupid things like lights.

 

They need to make it illegal to put HID's in a truck that's lifted. ******* always blind me from the reflection in the mirrors.
