Default Need Help Buying 6gen Accord (Going to Build Engine/Tranny)

I'm going to be buying a 6gen Accord Coupe - I want a 5-Speed.

I'd like to hit low 13s with this car - I know there's a lot of debate about f vs h series engines.

I'm going to be ordering a built engine from importbuilders.com - keeping in mind that the engine will be sleeved / strong internals, what's the best option for hitting low 13s? A built F or a built H?

Any advise on LSD - Do any F or H trannys come with stock LSD; if not, who makes the best kit?

Also, are there enough suspension parts out there to handle that power?

Anyone that can speak from personal experience?

Thanks!

Ryan

build up an F and boost it for cheapness, but if you have the extra money to spend boost the H. The F is an easier motor to put a turbo in but if built right the H can be a hell of a boosted monster

oh, if you want really low times, don't buy an accord. If you have decided on the accord, get a 5th gen. Theyre lighter and easier to modify according to most people you'll find. The 6th gens are just heavy *****, I know cause i have one

6th gen isn't much heavier than 5th gen, which isn't much heavier than the 4th gen, there was a post on here with the weights listed, they're ALL porky ****'s!

love my fat *** turbo 6th gen. 13's are not happening tho unless I do some internal work...

13s are possible with a 6g. (I should know.. I run 13.5@104 with mine.hehe). But then I have a v6. Its not going ot be impossible with the F series, but you are going to have to throw some decent boost on it. Any H series can hit the 13s easily though (boosted again). Its up to the situation. If you already had an H22, no prob..just turbo. Since you would need to swap, the cost goes way up. If you can, go H. If not, you will still be pretty happy with the results of a turbo'd F.
