My car is running on Spoon Springs and Koni externally adjustable shocks.......

I have a problem guys..........when i hit a pothole or a bump fairly hard, my front suspension is making a loud bang/clank.

Also the steering is feeling a bit loose when going over ruts and bumps.......

It is like that the shocks are worn out, this cannot be since they're new.

What about the bushes guys?

How can i tell if they're worn out or not? Maybe front wishbone bushes or something?

I don't feel like changing parts for nothing.....please help.

I hate Maltese roads....full of pot holes and bumps

i had the same problem on mine. there is a bushing that goes under the shock tower, and on top of the shock. on my car atleast, when i installed the new shocks, i forgot to put the bushings back in which caused a loud clanking noise the entire time i was driving, especially over bumps. jack your car up and try to wiggle your shocks around. see if there is any play, if there is, you are likely missing a bushing or two.

Mmmmm.......i decided to harden the shocks tonight ...and surprise surprise, it feels a lot better now very few less bangs and clanks !!

I am no suspension expert but could it be that the koni's were set too soft to handle the spoon spring rates?

Car felt wonderful tonight

I am sure that it needs bushes replaced to sharpen her up but by adjsuting the shocks to a harder setting helped a lot.

On a side note...I don't know you guys but there are sometimes when i drive my AaaR that i feel special....it feels different, it feels perfect .......Thank you Honda.... You gave us a perfect car
