Problem with '94 EX A/C
I bought my '94 EX used, and when I bought it, there was no refrigerant left in the A/C system. I got it refilled because at the time, they did not find any leaks at all in the system. According to the family I bought it from, the air conditioning had lasted all the way to the end of their ownership to the best of their knowledge. The A/C worked fine until just last week, when the A/C light stopped coming on when the button was depressed. My question is this : is this just a loss of refrigerant again (ie will the light just not come on if there is no refrigerant in the system) or do I have a functional system that is being hindered by another possibly electronic problem? I have felt the hoses, and they are not cool to the touch after driving, however I would expect them not to be in a fully functional system that had not been previously activated anyway. Thanks for your help.

no the A/C light would turn on even though it is not functioning... have you checked for any loose connection? sounds like either that little light blew out, or maybe a connection behind it got loose?
you can buy a gauge to check to see if the refridgerant is up to mark at any local autostore... does anything else work besides a/c? regular cool air/warm air?
