I don't want anything SERIOUSLY crazy because I drive this thing at night!! I just want to be one step closer to my car looking completely black.

My side windows and rear window (so all 5 windows) are currently 5%.

I heard I could put a 75% (75% light can get through) and it will make it so you can't see in the car considering how dark the rest of my windows are. This true? Should I just leave it tintless or can I do this?

Cops around in Des Moines are pretty damn cool. Only cops I've ever had a problem with were state troopers but they were just doing their jobs. I've had this tint for almost a year and I havn't even gotten a warning yet. Its coming though

why do you want it anyways? with your other tint, i would think that the interior of your car is hard enough to see in through the winshield since everything else is so dark. personally, i wouldn't do it since its illegal and reduces visibility, especially at night. btw, what is the legal limit for tint for your side windows in iowa?

 

35%. As long as your not an idiot and keep them up at night or in traffic, you're normally fine.

i dont know about other states but in WA the law is 35% for cars and 20% for trucks since trucks can be classified as work vehicles and for some reason the state thinks you're allowed more privacy if its work related. I'd say 35%. My boss had one of our employees do 20% on her durango and i can barely see through it.

i would go with something in the 30 range because you can still safely see out and its only a little lite in. I had 20 compeletely aroound my old integra but then i totaled it

ya you probably wont be hasled with 20% on a car. If you want 20 i'd say go for it unless you dont even want that 1 cop whos having a bad day and loves muscle cars pulling out the tint meter and ticketing you, but the chances of that are slim if your polite when he stops you. They also have this new form of tintin the front windshield, mainly U.C. cops do it but some benz's (i think its benz) have it stock. Its like ''fogging'' the front window lightly just so it turns slighty darker then stock. I think it might actually be a style of glass because theres no film applied but im still curious if a cop would ticket you for it.

here in tx u cant tint the front windshield. i got 35% all round and i like it keeps car cooler and its not too dark

whoops sorry, didnt realize it said winsheild. Isnt illegal everywhere to tint the front? if you do i'd go REALLY light like 75% or something if they even make it that thin
