Ok, I have the new ECU wired up but the car only revs to about 3200 rpms. It does drive, but it throws a code 6 and code 8, the water temp sensor works good - it and the wires go to the ECU good. Could it be an ecu problem? If so do you know if there is a way to get the ECU checked with out buying a new one. (Kinda low on cash).

Haven't checked code 8 yet.

 

i would try to borrow one of your friends ecu's and see if that does anything.
also, go over your wiring several times before calling it "ok".
