Are DOHC zc motors worth swapping into a 89 hb. What are there capabilities with stock internals. I've heard both good and bad about it. Thanks for the help in advance.

 

forget that motor go with a gsr if you got the money or even a b16 if u dont its still better and fro what i know a ton of more parts for both of these motors

yes they are worth swapping in. but... there is hardly any support out there for it!! i personally would go with a D16z6. they both have about the same numbers!! just the DOHC zc well is DOHC!! and the D16z6 is SOHC VTEC!!

and with the D16z6 there is so much support out there for it!! plus you get to say you have VTEC!!!

 

if u dont have the money, and u dont mind not having v-tec then the zc is the way to go plus u get those engine for hella cheap also u slap on a turbo and ur in the high 13's for the price of a gsr swap just check out this wep site http://www.homemadeturbo.com they show u how to do it

 

the DOHC zc and the D16z6 are about the same price!! if anything the DOHC zc is alittle more money!!

i paid $400 for a D16z6. and my friend paid $600 for his DOHC zc.
