I took the D15B7 out of of my del sol and replaced with with a JDM d16z6 (engine code is ZC VTEC). Last time i checked the D15b7 has 107 hp depending on the year. If you want to stay SOHC go d16z6.

if you're talking about the JDM Sohc VTEC D15B yes I used to have one. nothing too special. prefer the JDM zc sohc vtec/d16z6 which has little more torque. HP wise the D15B is equal to the d16z6/zc sohc vtec

well all i have on it right now is a custom greddy turbo kit with fmu and intank walbro 255 HP fuel pump...i spent no more than 2500 in a 8 month period and i can beat b16 i/h/e...and gsr's the same...i just kill them all day....b16s are about 2400 and gsr can run into 3300...i make more whp than both of these for a decent price...i really dont care when ppl say but ur turbo....i think it's who is faster with the less money spent....sum say that the potential isnt that high....but there is always building the bottom end...its a never ending process....i love telling ppl i have a d15...they are in total shock....but good luck with ur decision...

For that price, I would rather go with a US D16Z6 or D16Y8. You'll have the same hp, a little more torque due to the .1 L increase and it's easier to verify mileage. You can usually find these complete longblocks in the $300-500 range.

i looked at your dyno and that makes me want to do the same thing to my car. I never thought that only pushing 10 psi you could hit 200 hp. The pic with the intercooler looks bad as ****.

i blew up my d16z6, and replaced it for a jdm d15b. Quite honestly it feels to pull harder than my z6. Now im sure this also has something to do with the fact that my z6 had 107,xxx miles, and my d15 has 30k miles. Definately doesnt seem weaker than the z6- feels stronger. The only motor mount that didnt line up in my SOL, was the top right mount- sum simple modification took care of it..

i ran a 15.3 @90 with my z6 ---- hopefully ill have time for the track this weekend, and ill post my times with the d15...
