Default EF8 Radiator support too short to fit on USDM Car?

so i got a complete front nose cut from Steve at hmotorsonline.com. it came with the complete front end of the car. mid fender forward was all included...along with uncut fenders and hood. i dropped the stuff off at the body shop im having all th wor done at and get a call from the guy doing the work. he says that the jap spec radiator support wont fit my USDM crx..90...its too short i guess which means when welded in there the headlights will be an inch back too far or something. the frame rails dont line up is what i was told. i am pretty sure the USDM radiator support and the JDM one is the same piece. im talking the complete radiator support-from fender to fender that big piece of metal that guards the radiator and secures the front together. anyone that has done the conversion and actually used the JDM piece please explain....or worse comes to worse i could just get the usdm one from honda and the conversion would still work right??? i am wondering if the lights will still work with a USDM rad support and if i can still mount the bumpper without the bumper reinf. bar. any knowledge on this please explain. i have searched all the posts and still cant get the straight answer. i need to know how to make the EF8 front end work. my car has the old rad. support out and ready for one to be welded in. which to use ? any tricks or mods??? i want my car back...its been a month...help a dude out...any info is appreciated. thanks in advance.

i did an EF8 front end conversion on my CRX. And it was "basically" a bolt on process. my biggest issue was with the hood latch, NOT the rad support. here is a link to my how to on the hood latch: http://www.jdmuniverse.com/for...13089. Let me know if the pics don't show up and i can send them to you if you need it.

as far as rad supports. They SHOULD be indentical except the JDM one has a hole in it for the JDM intake piping. They are the same shape between the 2 though. You can use your USDM rad support to make this work.

Also, you HAVE to mount the JDM bumper WITHOUT the 5mph bumper bar. JDM cars don't have them, and aren't designed to use them. The JDM bumper bolts to where the bumper bar WOULD go.

You don't have to weld any of this either for support. I didn't it is working fine. I had to shim the top of my rad support forward, but you can't tell that i did anything to it. other than the hood latch, like i said before, this is basically a bolt on affair. let me know if you have any more questions.

here are some pics of my front end:

JDM rad support (slightly modified to fit correctly)

I used my USDM fenders and corners, they are interchangeable with the JDM parts

how did you have to modify it to fit. the radiator support. i still need the complete radiator support spot welded in. so i can have the USDm welded in and then use the center JDM rad. support with the intake hole and all will bolt up with no problems???
