Default whats needed for ls vetch conversion

i am looking into getting a gsr head and putting it on my ls. i am wondering what parts and work that would need to do the conversion. i know i need a new ecu, i would need to drill into the block or head that i buy to get better oil flow for the vtech (im not to sure about what is needed for this), i hear you should get a new throttlebody and intake manifold to compensate for the high air flow. im not sure if the throttlebody and intake manifold are needed or just recomended because i dont want to spend too much money.

Then dont go the LS/vtec route, because if you cheap out on it, it will blow up in your face. I dont know much about LS/vtec but i know that much.

ALSO...... to save you the multiple flames you are already gonna get its VTEC not VTECH.

for the initial poster, STOP BEING LAZY AND USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION on honda-tech for ls/vtec or ls vtec. Here's one of my posts that i put on another lsvtec thread:

gsr timing belt, oil pump, water pump ~$200
ARP head and rod bolts $150
full gasket set, plus new rod, main bearings $300+
if you have no intake mani, distributor, TB, add $300
you will definitely want some high compression pistons, ex. pr3's w/rings $200+
oil line kit and dowel pins~$80
vtec ecu ~$200
conversion harness if needed $100

Install with labour ~$3-400+

THIS IS NOT A CASE OF SLAPPING A VTEC HEAD ON A NON-VTEC BLOCK FOR $400 USD.

The fact that you don't know it is spelt VTEC and not VTECH doesn't bode well for you . good luck regardless.
