another stupid swap question

i was told by a friend that you cannot put a b16a jdm motor into a 4door 93 civic ex he said it could only go into a coupe of hatch. please tell him he is wrong he won't belive me.

Considering that most of the JDM B-16's sold in amreica are yanked from 4D civics..... I think he needs to retract his statement.

Re-read what I posted. Not once did I mention an American car. Why would I have put "JDM" if I was referring to a car available on the American market?Please allow me to rephrase it for you.... most JDM B-16’s are pulled from cars produced for the Japanese Domestic Market.

I think you missunderstood. He's trying to say that most JDM Motors sold to US americans are out of JDM Civic Sedans. Hence, J D M.

get some reputable motor mounts, hook everything back up just the way it came out and add the wires for the vtec solenoid and vtec press. switch. besides that i can't really think of anything else that might need work

that was pretty stupid the 93 civic ex already has vtec in it why would i need to run those wires. i thought i had to just run the knock sensor wire up to the ecu what would the best ecu to use for this swap be?

Can't argue with B18C5-EH2 or even me because I got that exact swap on my 4dr...obd1 that is! 93 civic ex 4dr haha what a coincidence.
