I see you live in the bay area, keep it locked up tight, dont' let her out of your sight...because it may get stolen at night....
See my sig...mine was the second one stolen...congrats on the R, drive her stock for a while, get to know the feeling of how it handles...then let lose..

The car is a pain in the rear to own, but worth it most of the time
Keep her safe!!!!</TD></TR></TABLE>
I really don't see how owning an ITR is any different than owning any other car. It's not exotic and does not require unusual maintenance; its the same as any other Integra (or any non-exotic car) in that respect.

Integra Type R's are the most sought after integra's on the market, to both the auto-enthusiast community, and to the **** sucking car theives. Don't play it down, you and I both know that R's are special cars and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why

Buy a Type R and a LS, spend a wad of cash on security for the Type R and none for the LS. Now park them both outside next to each other for 7 days, lets make it 3 days. I will wager that the R will be vandalized or even stolen, while the LS will just sit there for eons until you move it. That sir is just one of the differences, a very big one at that.
Hey congrats on the purchase, treat her well and guard her every way possible.

haha i know that i would not have gotten kicked out but i know the guys in the R forum are more up front with their comments.
in response to the guys who said that the R is no different from anyother car, I see where you are coming from you always have to worry more bout it,
for me mainly the R is the car that I have wanted since 96 and finally got the one that i wanted color and everything ya know ?

I agree; a car is just a car...even the exotics.

It really depends on where you live and where you go. I for instance live in a small town and never felt worried about my car. Even when Im at work in a much larger city I dont worry about my car. Its just a mind set. If it gets stolen Ive got full coverage and it can be replaced cause it is just a car.
