Default Carbotech 1108 brake pads (EP3 application) update

39,650 miles with $24.99 Autozone rotors

Beaver Run 2day
VIR Full 3day
VIR Full 2day
Summit Point 2day
Charlotte Motor Speedway 2day
Deal's Gap weekend

No ducting
OEM splash guards removed
K24 Frankenstein motor (i.e. more HP than the stock A3 motor)
Still playing with the rears (OEM, Bobcats and now P+) the +'s are the ticket as of now since the suspension changes

P.S. And for those who say the non "R" DC-2 chassis in hard on brakes, remember the EP3 has the same size brakes and is 2,900 lbs with driver..........I think they held up perfectly.

Enjoy

Nice... Very nice.

How much did they set you back? Do you have a Carbotech part number for them? Is there any place to get them other than from http://www.carbotecheng.com/ ?

Thanks!

Yack, j00 gat phatter!?!

Anyway speaking about breaks, lol... I'm trying out the TYPE-S brakes with GT-Sports all around along with Mugen Sports Suspension on my R's JDM 16 w/ 215-45/16 AZENIS on the EP this weekend at the Hyper Hizzee Fest!! I'll keep you all posted.

So Jack, keep up the pad/rotor killings!!

Wow! Not bad! I'll have to look into those rotors once my stockers are due for a change...

I have a question though, if you don't mind. How do you feel the Bobcat pads stack up against the stock pads or even a set of Hawk HPS's or Axxis Ultimates in terms of both dusting and braking performance?

Thanks for the help!

have not driven on the HPS's so I can not comment

The bobcats are better than the Axxis in terms of "braking performance"

Their dusting is very similar but I'd have to say the bobcats are a touch more dusty than the Axxis (Repco's)

Really? I was hoping that the Bobcats would have less dust than the Ultimates by a large margin, as advertised on their site, making them about as close to the HPS's in terms of dusting...

Thanks for the reply

How much do you sell the Carbotech 1108 brake pads for that you used above? Just front.
