Default Parcel shelf stolen... :(

Somebody broke in my eg hatch last night and stole my parcel shelf with my 6x9 Velocity's my Blaupunkt GT 5000 and my custom made subwoofer box... Anybody knows how can i make a parcel shelf? Or has the measurements of it... I bought the whole sound system again but i can't find a parcel shelf nowhere here in Greece so i have to make one from MDF i suppose... Any help would be grateful.

Make a template out of cardboard to fit, transfer to 1/2" MDF " poof" done, also the 6x9s will sound a lot better on the MDF, or better yet, if you have to custom make a new box , why not one that has the 6x9s on the top [ 2 chambers] and use 1/4" MDF for parcel shelf with grills cut out for the 6x9s, would be a lot lighter, and the 6x9s would hit good and hard.

Right now I'd be worrying more about getting an alarm than those parcels... Sorry it happened to you

Bad luck man but the parcel tray is an easy steal for theives, expensive speakers held in only by a couple of clips. If I were you I would ditch the 6 x 9's forever and put some decent rears in the stock locations.

Anyway the 6x9's will definately sound a lot better with an MDF shelf if thats what you want, make a cardboard template and cut it out yourself or just by a 2nd hand shelf from a wrecker and beef it up with some MDF baffles.
