How difficult would it be to do something similar to the following picture? I'm completely inexperienced when it comes to audio, and the handy-work that is included with installing this stuff.
1. How would you go about "fitting" the box up against the back seats like int he picture, instead of just a big, square box?
2. Also, what material would you use to encase the amps in the floor of the trunk? Plexiglass?

That is NOT something you would want to try, being as you are, "I'm completely inexperienced when it comes to audio, and the handy-work that is included with installing this stuff".
That requires fiberglassing skills including molds by the looks of it, wood working skills, upholstery skills, along with box design skills and fabrication skills, and the tools that go along with all the above.

Yes, thank you for that. Being inexperienced doesn't mean you can't attempt something, though. I was mainly referring to putting the parts in the bottom part of the trunk, but I didn't specify that. The designing and constructing stuff I can do, it's the materials and design processes that I can't.
Take this any way you want but if you have to ask, you can't do it.
I'm pretty good at building things too but I know my limitations. There's no way I'd be able to pull off something like that if I didn't do it for a living.

Materials will be
Fiberglass materials, [mat/cloth, resin, MEKP, gelcoat/bondo]
MDF
Plexiglas/Lexan
Glues, sealers and so on
Time, lots of it. 94
the fit and finish in that trunk is pretty flawless. lots a time and patience went into that. everything in that pic is built mostly with 3/4" mdf and plexi. the amps are frenched into a sub-floor built on top of the factory spare tire location. looks like most of the panels are easily removable to service the equipment.
