chris, after seeing some of mike k's numbers, i think i might go with your suggestion... has me thinking now...

scroll back a few pages in the classifieds..some dood was looking for some..

 

go with spec a's and keep the stock r valve springs and idle... form the looks of some of mike's numbers that a's are running as good as the b's. of course this is with minior engine mods.

 

oh, i thought he was selling the specb and switching to the junII and stock exhaust setup.

 

That's right, if you want a stock idle and drop-in way to make power the spec a's are a good solution for you. Less $ because you don't need valve springs, and they aren't so agressive as to need more than a vafc and cam gears to tune them in. You can get close to 200whp with them (peak), and with although their midrange isn't as good as lumpier cams they can be paired with an agressive Final Drive (ATS hint hint) and kill many other cars on the street.....

 

i think i know what chris might be doing, and it's not the jun2/itr set up. he had some ideas before any of that took place. that was the same time we talked about the spec a's... after seeing mike's numbers i'm starting to see what chris was getting at...
