all those w/ 3" downpipe/carsond cat/thermal exhaust setup
i just had a 3" kooks custom downpipe done w/ a 3" carsound cat and a 3" thermal exhaust. the car is cerrtainly faster but i'm having a problem. i have an air/fuel meter, and when the car used to warm up it would slowly climb up to the top red mark and then after a few seconds start bouncing around. now it climbs to the red and then stays there! even after aggressive driving. my theory is that with all the extra airflow, the o2 sensor isn't getting warm enough to give any readings. any other ideas? (96 gsr w/ greddy turbo, and a bunch of other crap)
The oxygen sensor does not get warmed up via just exhaust gases. The reason our (honda) o2 sensor is called heated is because it heats itself. So your theory on why your a/f gauge is not reading, is not completely correct. What I would try to do is checking the codes in your car. If the o2 sensor was bad u would throw a code. Second check your wiring, during the install the signal wire from the a/f to the o2 sensor could of got damaged or disconected. One last thing, soter all the connections, those butt clips are known to break/not give good readings.

P.S. Hope it works out.
