B16A1 / EF-8 Stock Airbox, Etc. ???
thread edited because i hit my post limit!
this thing is going to go for a pretty penny, i just know it.

--------------------------------EF-8 Airbox thread begins here-----------------------
I'm going for a totally stock look underneath the hood when I'm done with my B16 swap. I'm wondering if using the stock airbox from a 90 Si would work. I would really like to get ahold of the EF-8 airbox assembly, but not sure if it would bolt on correctly.
Does anyone have any tips on what to do with the stock pieces, or if the EF-8 pieces will work? (If the EF-8 pieces DO work, then where can I get them?)
Thank you very much, and yes... I already did a search for this topic under numerous terms!

Bump, and I ordered one with my b16 from hmotorsonline. for 50 bucks. Now im just hoping it will bolt up correctly (i know it will, but the fit is what im hoping works) After all, the engine isn't in the exact same place as the JDM SiR.
Anyone ever tried this?
Also, this is off topic, but anyone ever get "scolded" by authorities for having a Kmph speedo? lol just curious.
Thanks guys.

I have the crx air box with xsi intake arm. It looks similar, but ya, the sir stuff will fit just fine. Ive seen one in person. Ryan
Bump for another question about the airbox. Will the regular filters for the CR-X Si's work for the SiR airbox? I have a K&N I would like to continue using. Not sure if the box was made bigger for more CFM or not. Thanks!
The SiR air box is bigger. U will have to order a new K&N for it. I ordered mine online. I dont know if the USDM passenger side headlight will interfere with the air box tho, since the air box is longer. I have the SiR headlights and my EF9 stuff fit perfect.

Where did you find the air filter, and what part number or what model is it for? I won't be ordering one until im sure the actual box will fit in there with the USDM front end. But its good to have handy just in case.
Thanks, Scott.
Thanks, Scott.
