Default d16y7 and d16z6 parts same?

As far as the engine pieces go are d16y7 and d16z6 compatible?
ex: water pump
timing belt
tension pulley

part #'s are different

My experience is with a Z6 and a Y8.
Most parts did NOT interchange. I did re-use a z6 tensioner on the y8.
Water pump gear is different.
Covers are different, pulley is different, crank gear is different...

Lots of money to switch block generations. Stay with the block you have accessories for. I spent $200 getting all new parts for a y8 when I already had all Z6 stuff on hand

If you need z6 stuff, I have a ton lying around, including 2 blocks...
