What modifications do I have to do to install my GSR shifter in my hatch ?
I thought this was a direct swap.
it took me forever to get this out alone with the stupid exaust pipe there. plus my car is canadian winter driven so EVERYTHING is rusted.
anyways, I got it out , but the GSR is bigger, it doesn't fit in the linkage
should I force it in ? or cut the GSR ?
this is for my stock DX 92 hatch.
will i get a new shiftlinkage when I get my swap ??
the civic one is the shorter one with the silver ball

the rusted one is obviously my old civic one

here you can see that the GSR is way bigger then the stock civic one

well I took the lazy man's way and I bent the linkage.
although it sounds easier, I had to drill new bigger holes on the linkage, underneath my car at 2am in the morning. I should of ******* cut the shifter !
but anyways it's in now with the new Energy suspention bushings and it works great !!!
I don't know if it's the bushings, but it's like I traded in my old Stock **** of a shifter for a newer better virgin. I love it so much.
highly recomended !

if you bend it right and make it shorter as well as wider you wont even have to drill them out. I have done that quite a few times..
