I was reinstalling my heatshield for my exaust manifold and I forgot to snap the wires back together that I took apart. The sensor that comes out of the exaust manifold I forgot to latch. I turned on the engine and reved it a bit to hear the rattle I have been trying to get rid of. The engine check light comes on and I put the wires back together. The light is still on though, did I cause damage? It runs just fine.

 

you have to reset your ecu. just pull the ecu fuse for about 10 seconds and then put it back in. then turn on your car and let it run for 5-10 minutes without giving it gas.

lol just kiddin, are you talking about your Oxygen sensor? If that is unplugged yes you will throw a code, but I'd cut your car off, and take the Negative battery cable off and let your computer re-set, wait about a minute and then put that back on, and turn your car on WITH THE OXYGEN SENSOR PLUGGED IN and you outta be fine! good luck

I'll try the batter way first beacuse it is easier. If no go, tell me where the ecu fuse is.

 

The ECU fuse is the backup fuse under your hood in the fusebox. You can't miss it. It's a 15a fuse I believe.
