I've been visiting this forum now for some time and it's been very helpful. Thanks all. I have a question. I own a 95 gsr and it's turbocharged. Whenever I accelerate there is vibration and in vtec there's some hesitation like a clutch slipping(but it's not the clutch cause my clutch is new and pretty heavy duty). Can it be my axles? When the car's jack up, there is some play with the driver side axle and when the car is down there isn't. My other thought is that it might be the engine but I did a compression test and all cyclinders are fine. I'm kind of baffled. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's quick breakdown of my mods:
Drag III turbo kit
Vfac
HKS EVC IV
ACT Clutch 6 puck and heavy duty pressure plate

 

It might be the axles.. When you have the car up on the lift check to see if the joint on the axle didn't pop out of place..

It might also be wore ball joints causing the vibration.. Check those out as well..

Do you hear any noise when you turn which might indicate that its the axle..

 

I have a 95 GSR... I busted both my axles and when i replaced them, one of the axles i got vibrated really bad when i accelerated, but when i looked at it nothing seemed to be wrong. I took the axle back and got another and havent had a problem sense. That is just my advice GOOD LUCK....

 

you might wanna try checking out your motor mounts. I had a problem like that and it was actually my motor sitting on my cv axles.

 

man i having the same problem ive been trying to find out what is it too im guessing axel is bad i had them both replaced but i think one is not good

I dont know if this is your problem but on my cousins Prelude he had a vibration on hard accelerations from a stop and the dealer told him it is his axles.

 

Thanks for the help. I had an alignment done and even though my alignment was bad it didn't resolve the problem. Next I'll try balancing the tires and replacing my axles. I'll also take a closer look at my mounts again. Damn, I hate these little issues, there the worst to troubleshoot.
