how do I remove JDM headlights on a DC2 Integra?
Help. I am trying to remove the JDM headlights from my '94 Integra so I can thoroughly clean them, etc. Anyway, I got the two bolts on the top, but it still feels like something is holding it in, possible from the outside corner. I don't have to remove the bumper or fenders or anything just to remove the headlights right?
Thanks in advance

whether you have a usdm headlamp or a jdm headlamp, they all have four bolts to my recollection. For the jdm, i believe there is one in the center bottom area of the front and another on the way side bottom. That last one will probably be the one that is nearest the fender and bumper meeting area. I can't recall if you need to remove the jdm bumper to reach those, but i believe you will need to for the front bottom one. As for the side one, i think you can probably get away with just undoing the fenderliner.
do you know how "difficult" it is to just remove/reinstall the front bumper? can it be removed w/ out removing the fenders? damn, looks like this is going to be a bigger/longer project than i imagined
man, well, i got the front bumper removed enough to where i can get at the other bolts, but i can't seem to find the 4th one. i got the one that's at the outside corner of the lens, but i still cannot find the 4th bolt. i have looked under, over, to the side, i just can't see where it's being held in
well there are the two on top, which i'm sure you already got, sounds like you got the one on the far side corner. so the only one left is the one on bottom i believe. But you also need to undo the screw that holds in the grill as well, forgot about that one.
dont forget the bolt in the engine bay also. i believe there two on top, one near the fender one near the grill side. and one in the engine bay near the opening of the light.

um... wat for?? i believe there are some metal holding clips on the housing, and the plastic clip portions of the actual housing and the sealant that holds it all together. that should be it.
heat up the outside edges of the lense using a heat gun, pull apart the lense from the housing very gently and go a little at a time. do what you need to do, then heat up the glue in the housing and push the lense back in, heating as you go, again, gently. make sure it seals or it will fog over.
i dont know about your jdm headlights but i did an audi tt hid projector conversion on my dc2 usdm. The way i got the lenses off was to preheat the oven to around 250 degrees. remove any rubber pieces from the headlight as they will melt. if their are metal clips holding the lens on unsnap those. Put some aluminum foil down on a cookie sheet big enough to fit your light on. Put it in the oven for about fifteen minutes, but check it at five and ten to make sure the plastic isn't melting. Mine took about the full fifteen and take them out and immediately pry the lens off the headlight while it is hot careful not to burn yourself. If you really have to pry hard put it in for five more minutes and try again. Mine came off pretty easily you just have to be patient. The key is if it doesn't come off easy put it in the oven longer checking every five minutes so you don't melt the housings. to reassemble do the same thing you did to take apart, heat em up again and press the back together, the stock glue should be enough, I've had no problems.
