Well what i would reccomend on doing is to keep your LS motor and boost the sucka...You already have a good motor to begin with so why sacrafice some more money for couple horses more on a Gs-R motor when you will get more gains on a tubo kit unless you want vtec now thats a different story...As for the greddy turbo kit going on your car it should fit without a doubt.

You have on your hand, a perfect and a engine that is still in excellent condition i assume. The only reason why they dont put your year into the greddy kit is because of OBD2b and the blue box dont work with OBD2b (correct me if im wrong). but everything else should fit no problem(kit for 96-99 LS)... But if you planning on turbo then a good fuel management system is a must, the blue box is not going get you no where. I know that the blue box suck because im currently running on it right now, and it idle like crap running rich like a bitch that i got a 45 CEL. im using as of waiting for my hondata s200b. So go head and buy the kit that you want along with a good fuel system and tuned it.

ppl said that i would have to change my ecu to a 96-97 ecu. Is this true n how much would this cost range be about? also how much hp would i get from a ls turbo. not to mention that mine is an automatic but not sure i should throw in the turbo first or swap the tranny first

your must not be satisfied with your 2001 if youre looking to modify it. For all the money you'll put in to boost, you'd probably be better off getting a better car IMHO.
