Default Which Gasket should I use

I just had me rex on the road for about 6 months w/ a b16 swap, but a strange one. I need to replace the head gasket but I do not know which one to get. Reason for this is because my block is 90 and the actual head is a 96 (PR3). When looking for it what vehicel's gasket should I get.

Reason for the gasket change is because of major lag when revin above 4500 (feels like I hit fuel cut) I know I have to change my vtec solenoid, but if there are any other reasons why this would happen let me know (not clutch just changed w/ fly wheel)

I think you should look for other potential sources of your problem before you go and change the head gasket. Change the VTEC solenoid first, and see if that cures your problem.

what ecu are you using?

is vtec actually coming on? the vtec solenoid has a screen to filter the oil b4 it goes into the head, clean that.

I've checked the filter in the vtec solenoid, it seems fine. But I seem to find oil on the solenoid, as if it was leaking. But I can tell you the vtec does come on, but not consistant.

I'm using the ODB-1 JDM PR3-J01 ECU. I even tried a different ECU and I also tried to hook up a Apex-i Vafc and cut the vtec to 7k. It still lags @ 4k but not as much. When Vtec kicks, its worse.

my guess is the vtec solenoid isnt giving the vtec pins enough psi.. maybe get the solenoid gasket replaced?

if you do the head gasket get a topend kit.

Head gasket, solenoid gasket, valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets.

I'll try it again. I actually got a full gasket kit back in december. Worked fine but now ????
Also today I noticed that my RPM jumps like mad on my tac. I also got zapped badly when I touched the distributor in one hand and the fame in the other. Could it be something wrong w/ the distributor???

I don't remember getting zapped when working on my sohc.
