hey mister, Mugen makes a low temp. thermostat.

check out this thread, there is a lot of talk of mugen products here...

https://honda-tech.com/zero...08045

then when your done here, go to:

http://www.kingmotorsports.com...ngine

write them an email and ask them the exact specs on your car and whether or not they have a lower temp. thermostat for you. ok?

I think TASAuto sells a 160deg thermo. I beleive the stock thermo is 174-180deg, something like that.

edit:
yep, they still have them. 160 degree thermostat for $11.20

well looks like your question has been answered so im gonna jack this and ask my own question right quick. im new to thermostats and all that junk and i suspect that the previous owner put in a different thermostat than just a replacement because in the winter i can hardly get my temp guage to go much above the bottom slash, but in the summer it stays just below the mid line. anyone have an idea what temp thermostat was put in and what temp one i should put in for the winter? (cause it gets cooooooold, especially when you cant get your car to warm up)

what is the normal temp thermostat, i have a 192 degree in there right now and the fan turns on after i shut off the car, i think the thermostat could be the problem. i think i will get it direct from honda.

a lower temp thermostat will decrease your gas mileage.

that's normal. If anything, it would be your coolant sensor.
