Which 95' Accord engine is faster?
1995 Accord EX: 2.2L(2156cc), F22B1, MPFI, SOHC 16-valve (Canadian:EX-R)
1995 Accord DX/LX: 2.2L(2156cc), F22B2, MPFI, SOHC 16-valve (Canadian:LX/EX)
1995 Accord V-6: 2.7L(2675cc), C27A4, MPFI, SOHC 24-valve
I'd maybe assume the V6, but I know that a V-tech 4 cylinder is alot faster
1995 Accord DX/LX: 2.2L(2156cc), F22B2, MPFI, SOHC 16-valve (Canadian:LX/EX)

No way man that 2.7l 6cyl would be faster than a 4cyl vtec
the c27a4 has a 9:1 compression ratio and 170hp
the f22b1 has a 8.1:1 compression ratio and 145hp

And btw, its v-t-e-c, variable valve timing and electronic lift control not vtech, or vteck, or vtek
Also, instead of saying dx, ex, lx or whatever you can specify the engine by f22b1(vtec head) or f22b2(non vtec head) Its a lot easier

not by much. becuase the 6s are autos the 4 feels faster and "peppier", but is a little slower in the 1/4, but not by much at all. i know for a fact that is the case with the b2, however im not sure how it would fare against a manny b1

ah ok, I never knew that. That explains alot, I never understood why some engines were vtec even though they weren't a h22.
and since the v6 doesn't come in manual, I'll try for an EX model.
Thanks guys

you could, how hard is it to do that anyway. Is there a lot involved? Is it a straight forward swap?

I recall a performance test back in '95 when the V6 became available. The V6 had more horses and torque so it got off the line better but the added weight slowed it down at the higher speeds and affected handling, felt less nimble than the 4-banger.
