z6 runs after.......
z6 runs hot after complete cooling system replacement except radiator. is it better if i use the radiator that came with the motor or should i use the one that came oe in the car that the engine is swapped into? thanks for any input.
did you swap this switch and sensor?
5g block have the radiator fan switch at the thermostat housing compared to the 4g which is at the back of the block . You could either just extend the two wires blk and yel/green and then connect it using the 5g connector for the fan switch at the thermostat housing or on" 92 block only", there's a hole plugged up by a bolt on the same spot where the 4g switch is located. Just transfer the 4g switch to the 5g block but be careful not to break the two prong connectors and put high temp sealant before installing it.

that switch is hooked up, i just extended the wires from the get go. i have heard that since the z6 has an after market cam (sadly do not know the specs on cam) the motor will run hotter than normal, there for i need a larger radiator to compinsate for the added heat. do feel this might be the case? the coolant system is all new down to the rad cap. yet the car runs just below the red on the stock heat gauge. stop or turn on the heat for 2 to 3 mins and runs in the norm for heat gauge. this one really has me stumped would appreciate any input as ive heard through the forums you have a similiar set up thank you much
