My parents and family members think my car is bad luck since my car has been into accidents and recently been vandalized. I took it into consideration to trade my TYPE R in, but whats an IDEAL car to replace the ITR? Any opinions from my fellow TYPE R owners?

 

i would get a WRX i fi had to trade in my ITR. Rally projector lights and an STi wing and id be set

 

I would look at:

-Subaru WRX
-Honda Prelude
-Acura RSX Type-S
-Toyota Celica GTS

 

Another ITR of course Honestly, I'd go for an S2K. I'm not sure if you want 2 seats and a convertible though.

How bout something fast. Never trade an integra for another one. Rx7 or Supra old or new will do just fine. 88 up Rx7 turbo2 or 91up turbo supra. You cant go wrong for the money granted its in good shape. Mr2's 91 and up.

 

Hell no. If you must trade, step up and get a IS300. That **** handles awesome with lil' mods. Just ask any autoX-ers... IS300 is right there with ITR. Best of all, you can have all the goodies that come with it... who knows maybe a hottie or two will drop their panties in the IS300.

 

Get new parents.

Seriously, though - I guess they don't realize that accidents are the fault of the driver(s) and not the car, huh? (I'm not saying that your accidents were or were not your fault, but they could just as easily have happened with any other car.)

 

Old body Talon AWD TSI, WRX, or Lexus IS300.

 

Keep the R and get a beater.

Where is the R getting vandalized? Do you have a garage for it? Who was at fault for the accidents?

Now, you have to ask was the accident your fault? Second, your car is vandalized not stolen so it's not the car it's more of your location. So why don't you go and tell your parents to move to somwehere that no one knows what a Honda is...

IS300 is heavy as hell.. IT can't be in the same league at ITR.

LOL. No offense, but if his R is getting vandalized I hardly think the S2000 would be the ideal car to get to avoid vandalism!

 

how about getting something really big and slow that handles like crap. that way you will be afraid to explore the limits of the car and everybody else will stay away from you when you are coming. your vandalism & accident problems will be over.

fock an is300, check out the bm vid and see how well the is300 handles. there is no other car. i'd second the though of getting a beater.

What are you really trying to accomplish by trading in your R? For example... Are you trying to show your parents that you're trustworthy and not wild? But do you still want to drive a high-performance car?

If that's the case, then you want a car that LOOKS like it's nothing special, but still performs pretty well. In this regard, some of the suggestions above are better than others:

GOOD: WRX (without rally lights or wing), M3, IS300

BAD: Prelude, RSX, Celica, Talon

VERY BAD: Supra, S2000, RX-7, McLaren

 

Thanx for all the COMMENTS and ADVICE guys...I was thinking about trading the car in for a WRX or IS300...My other option is painting the car MILANO RED or ACURA TL FrooZE WHITE....the accident and vandalism that happen to my type r was not fault i was just at wrong place at the wrong time...so i just might decide to REPAINT the car with a different color SCHEME...Whay yall think about that?

 

I think the black ITR (I assume from your username that yours is black) is less conspicuous than any color you could repaint it.

Aside from the fact that repainting the entire car is not good for market value and opens the door to other problems.

 

I suggest battleship grey - or Spoon blue - (both equally disgusting)

 

Thats the only thing really comes close. A little pricey though.
