Default keyless entry help please

the remote has a lil red light on it and it works wheny ou push you button...so what im askin where is the little reciever thing that the remote is going towards at in the car? where is it located

On the brain itself. Sounds to me like you have a DEI product with 2 buttons and a black sqaure remote. On the cheap models, there is no external antenna, it's a POS wire that extends from the brain, probably under your dash, or where ever it was installed.

If you are having problems with your car locking and unlocking using the remote, sounds to me like the antenna is about ready to go. I had to get a new alarm when mine went in the beater.

well idk i just got the car and the remote lights up and all but it dont lock or unlock the car..has panic on it also i guess thats an alarm idk and that dont work either.but thanks for the reply

i have the same problem. i have a viper in my car.. and the remote lights up but doest lock unlock my doors???
