Default HELP : 99-00 y8 mani w/ ls throttle body onto JDM D15B

Im using....

99-00 y8 Intake Manifold (i already got the extra holes screwed in and covered)
y8 gasket
Integra LS Throttle Body (using gasket maker instead of the ls gasket hope its ok )
z6 IACV
z6 FTIV

my problem : THERE ARE no leaks, no hissing, no cels coming from my motor...all it does it idle between 1,500-2,500 CONSTANTLY!

I tried : replacing my FTIV are still no sign of luck...cleaned it, screwed it back in...still revs like ****. I also tried putting back on my stock z6 throttle body and still the same problem occurs. Im thinking its the z6 IACV...because my friend and I are using the same setup on our motors EXCEPT he has the y8 IACV on his.

I dont know whats wrong help me! IM DYING!

I'm in the process of doing the same thing...the EXACT same thing. I, as well, had the same problem. Didn't really pinpoint what the exact problem was, I just killed as many birds with one stone as I could...here goes. The first time I put it on, I used a 2000 mani gasket, z6 IACV, and the y8 tb gasket with the ls tb. When I got sick of the idle...I tried it again. Picked up a 96 mani gasket, used the y8 IACV, and got the ls tb gasket, and adjusted the idle screw...put it all on at once...problem solved. Hope this kind of helps ya man...you've been askin alot about this swap, tryin to get it right .

BTW...you did jb weld the air induction ports, right?

I have removed and installed more then 50 y8 mani swaps and never had a problem except the holes and it would idle high as ****

I have a y8 mani with ls tb on my 91 hatch with a d15b in it

but i used the complete mani so i wouldent no about the iacv

But If not that get a real tb gasket and try that

Does that mean you used a screw?

Seriously man the only thing i can think of is to get it sealed up with like hondabond or jbweld

y8 gasket w/ gasket maker for the im and just "gasket maker" for the the tb. Im guessing it works fine because i hear no hissing or any leaks. Would it matter? Before i used the z6 tb gasket along with the ls tb and it leaked like a bitch...but now im guessing i fixed that problem with just gasket maker.

edit : my friend is using a y8 gasket...with his z6 tb gasket w/ a z6 tb. so about almost the same but different tbs.

even if my IM gasket or my TB gasket were leaking should it cost a bouncy idle like this?

OK im a bit closer to my goal...for some reason...HOW THE HELL are you using a z6 IACV on a y8 and its working! Well anywho took apart my IACV again...cleaned it and reinstalled it...but this time.....it idled fine for about 30 secs...on the ftiv untill it switched over to my z6 IACV and then it started to bounce...so the IACV has to be the problem! I can smell it!

1. the z6 does not mount onto the y8 without grinding the big metal bump.

1. i dont know even though if it looks the same it isnt working for me!

At one point, I thought my IACV was fugged up (2000 Y8). So, I personally went and pulled an IACV from a '95 EX. It wasnt the culprit, but it works fine now ... the z6 IACV is on there.

wtf did you just plug and play? didnt you have to shave off that bump for your z6 iacv to fit? how did you do it?
