can I remove an engine without removing it with transaxle?
I am switching a honda civic 1.5 motor for an identical japan import motor, do i have to remove the transaxle with the old motor or can i split the units and just remove the motor
cheers ra
well, when we swapped out my a6 for a newer a6..we didn't take the tranny out...It wasn't all the bad of an issue but it was harder to reconnect the tranny than it should have been, so I wouldn't do it that way ever again. we ended up breaking a flywheel bolt in my flywheel causing the need for a new flywheel, but it can be done..I just wouldn't recomend it to anyone.
Swapped out my D15 for a D16 and didn't take out the tranny. Ya I crushed my hand once and fought the bitch for awhile to get it back on. Slipped on very easy after I jacked up the tranny about an inch....
