I want to send my Ls down the right path-2.0L bore?(all motor)

I have a complete Ls motor with some cam gears and nitrous-I want to build it for all motor and I am not sure which path I should take. I have heard when you bore the block to a 2.0L that it is a good base for an all motor monster on the track. Should I go Ls/vtec or should I build the complete Ls. Looking for hints and/or suggestions from anybody. Please help me out!
