Default Springs and Coilovers from Prelude

Has anyone tried to put on springs, coilover sleeves, or actual coilovers from a prelude on their accord? I have a 95 accord and my friend has a set of springs from a 95 prelude that he don't need. Would they fit? I got another friend that wants to sell me some coilovers from his 2000 prelude, would those fit? doubt it huh?

im gonna have to go with an almost definite no, but if you want to be sure, take one of your wheels off and one of your friend's wheels off and take some measurements and see if they will work

a friend of mine swapped his coilovers from his 96 accord for springs off a 98 prelude so yes they do work.

thanx, so the 98 'lude to 95 accord should work, what about the 95 'lude springs?

Check the coilovers website and see if the part numbers matchup for the prelude and accord.

i dont think they would work, just because if you think of the weight of the one car, compared to that of the other car, accords are considerably heavier than preludes, correct? I dont know, even if it were to fit, they werent engineered or manufactured to fit the accord...its cool to get free **** but you dont want to do some reckless damage to your car in not knowing...

i checked out some of the stock numbers for springs and such on the Nopi e-cat, and they dont match up either, so i dont know.

i checked out the weight difference, the 95 preludes are about 100 or so pounds lighter, while the next gen preludes are surprisingly heavy and are just about the same as the curb weight of my accord, so i don't think that would play too much of a role. I know almost for a fact that the part codes won't match because of course they make specific parts for the prelude and accords. But even though the codes and parts aren't the same, a lot of them are interchangable like the springs of cl's and tl's and 6th gen accords. So has anyone tried the 92-96 prelude springs on a 5th gen accord? (94-97)

i think that only the front or only the back are interchangeable...can't quite remember which it is to tell you the truth...tell him to let you try it, if they work, you buy 'em, if not, you don't...

hey man I've taken alot of stuff from a 92-96 lude and put it on my 97accord alot of the parts are interchangeable. I did a auto to manual swap and used, shifter pedels, linkage, even the sub frames!! the only thing i had to use was my axels. Try it, measure everything, compare the parts.

just be careful, you dont want to do irreversible damage to your car...especially for a set of lowering springs...****, they have H&R's on ebay for 150 shipped, brand new...so consider the alternative
