D16 throwing CEL two weeks after header install...OMG
Alright, after i installed my headers...I had to splice my O2 sensors to reach the bung on the downpipe. I used Posi-Locks and didn't use any heat shrink on it. The car drove fine and I had no CEL come on.
Yesterday, I was driving on really low gas and pushed the pedal in to accelerate around this annoying car. I turned off the car to park and when i turned it back on the CEL was on. I pumped in gas and reset my car and it went away.
Until today, after driving on the freeway at about 80, then driving back home and it comes on in the middle of the trip. I'm not sure what code it is, but I would think that the oxygen sensor would not be fine for a bit then go bad again? Maybe a leak?
Sorry, flame away

use a jumper wire and grab the code. And what motor y7, y8, z6, a bit work would be helpful. grab the code and then you'll have your answer(or atleast a start).
It's a y8. I have some idea that the ECU is under the glove compartment on the passenger side. But i dont really have a clue to how to pull the code. I read that you take one of the wires and short it in a plug thats above the ECU?
Check out the sticky:

Its underneath the kick panel on the right(passenger) side. There will be a plug in a rubber case. I think it's green. Pull the plug out of the case. It will have only two spots for wires. Don't unplug anything from the ecu. You can use anything from a wire to a paper clip. It will flash you your codes. Get a haynes, it will answer all of the little questions like these, and it has a list of codes.
