power difference from a y8 & z6 intake manifold
has any one noticed a changed in power in there car after replacing the intake manifold from a d16z6 to a y8, im thinking of getting it but is it really going to make a difference for the 50 $ im paying for it. thank for the info, im just trying to be fast like u.
I've read Spade's write-up on the SOHC build-up

I couldn't tell on the butt dyno but maybe if you actually put it on a dyno you could tell a slight difference..... I did it for my obdII to obdI conversion so I could use the 2 wire iacv. There was a negligible difference. Its a cheap upgrade and bang for the buck wise I would do it before a cai that costs 2 to 3 times as much. Between a z6 and a y8 you probably won't notice the difference.
Mine was a y7-T that I switched to a y8 im
I think the tranny swap made the biggest difference than the im swap....

you'd be better off with the z6 manifold. there have been different tests and such with both of them, and the z6 outperformed the y8. both were about the same stock, but as soon as you port and polish, you get a difference.
