Keep my 1992 LX or sell and buy a 92 EX?
I know that there is not much difference in these two besides the moonroof and d16z6.
My 1992 LX sedan which i bought about a year ago from a college kid ( i was in need of a project car) It has generic SRI, custom exhaust, whiteface gauges, and clear corners, and 1st gen Euros. It has 200,xxx miles on everything but the motor. Its a manual transmission and is very very mechanically sound. It needs new carpet, a new passenger side axle, and window trim on the front doors. It also is in need of a paint job. The motor is nothing special just a 1995 d15b7 with a new timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires and cap/rotor. Has all new accesory belts. Color scheme is Dark Red with Grey interior
What I have an option of getting is a 1992 EX sedan which has been taken realy good care of. The original paint is perfect. The interior is perfect except the carpet is a little bit worn but not bad. It is stock. Its got a 5-speed transmission. It has 191,000 original miles on the body and motor. All accesories work like new. The color scheme is white with tan interior.
I was just wandering what my H-T peeps thought was the best choice.
All opinions are very welcome....thanks

If its a project car keep the LX.
For a daily commuter the Ex is good.
Main reason I say keep the Lx is that its lighter. Thats the most important thing in a project car. You can always swap a z6 or Mini-Me it with the z6 trans, and be quicker than a Pig ex.
I made the mistake of buying a loaded 97 ex. Now im stuck with a 25** lb pig.

i was thinkin the same because of the weight diff but i like the moonroof and the lil more luxury side of it. Its not going to become a track terror or nothing, just a nice street car with a little attitude and style...no big body kits or wings and ****

You know how slow your car is when you have a 200+ lb friend in the car? That is how it will feel all of the time with an EX. You will never be fast with a SOHC in an EX unless you do SERIOUS work (turbo, crazy all motor) or swap.
However, I would take the EX. The D16Z6 is a far better motor...and instead of worrying about putting Z6 parts into your B7...just start off with the better motor. I'd take all the mods off ur current car and move them over to the EX. Also...the EX has the moonroof...and you say is in much better condition. I say go for the EX.

yea, the EX is in like perfect condition, i wasnt looking for a good lookin car when i was searching for my first project car (the LX), but now that i am engaged my LX just aint cutting it. The motor pulls hella strong to have 191,xxx miles on it. The EX has been driven by a 38 year old woman to work and back every day on the interstate, besides that they drive their oddysey.
This is funny since I realize that I have 93LX and a 92EX, both sedans. I love my Ex since I don't have to worry about doing a rear disc brake conversion like I did on my LX. Plus the Ex has the front/rear factory sway bars. My wife and kids like the idea of the moonroof as well. Plus if you are going from and auto LX to a 5spd Ex, I'd say get an Ex. If you're really worried about weight, then get a CX/VX hatch.
Yeah this is gonna be a daily driver. Im not really worried about weight. Just something that has the ability to go from red-light to red-light and look good doing it, while also beign able to take my fiance on a date in comfort and in style.
Here are a list of some of the **** i would do to the Ex:
DC sports header
Apexi WS2 exhaust
Some kind of short ram intake
Tein S-tech springs
KYB shocks
Integra/Civic Si wheels

I say get the EX. If you're looking for a daily driver with a little more power, style, and more "luxury" items like the moonroof/sunroof,power windows, locks things like that then yes. The EX is a good car minus it's weight problem. I have a 94 EX Coupe and I couldnt be more happier. Since u dont care about the weight then it isnt a problem. Go for the EX, it's your best bet.
tan interior
keep your car and drop in a LS swap (easy to do) if you want it a little quicker without burning a hole in your pocket.

I think that the tan is ok. Not the best, but i think the other stuff makes up for it.
And i dont plan on doing a swap. I plan on doing something with the Z6
