Default 94 accord lx auto...won't start

Need some advice. My battery died yesterday and i replaced it with a new one, but the engine still doesn't turn. The only thing I hear is the ignition clicking. The car was in perfect running condition before the battery death/ switch. I guess it could still be the battery. Maybe the alternator?

Thanks for the advice

All the electrical seems to be working fine, but nothing from the engine.

Sure your starter is good? Alternator? Just get it all tested, it's free at Advanced or wherever.

Could be a few things:

Alternator (well if the electrical works, then no )
Timing belt (if broken, the engine cant do anything)

sounds like a starter problem. Test it out of confirm. He said it just clicks when he turned the key so timing belt and alternator are eliminated

This is all useless posts. You need to explain what happened before. It is totally unreasonable to think that the battery died, you replaced it, and then the starter is dead.

Why do you think the battery died?

Is the new battery fully charged?

Have you tried with a boost?

first off, are you sure your other battery was the problem before you replaced it, it sounds like your starter to me from the start. if your engine is not turning over and that clicking you hear is the starter engaging the gear but not turning over than that has to be it.

Yeah, I left the my driving lights on all night. I got the battery tested and it wasn't any good and replaced it with a new one. Still nothing. I had the car towed to Honda dealer. It may turn out to be a short with the alarm (ignition kill). However, I have never had this problem when I disconnected the battery before. Hopefully, that's it.

Thanks for the posts.
